feliz cumpleanos... to savier, a local boy who turned 9. he is so cute and sweet. we went to his birthday party. he had a pinata and as part of the game you have to dance while blindfolded between hitting the pinata. the pinata was a purple teletubbie thing. we got him this spiderman backpack, cap, notebooks, stickers and candy as a birthday gift. we also gave all the little kids sticks and candy. it was a great experience to feel like a part of the town. the woman i am staying with, serena, has been coming to ometepe for about 10 years and everyone knows her. serena, vickie, raheema and david have been great travel companions!

random... nica tacos are fried rolled tacos, sorta like san diego style but they put ketchup on them!

i´m going to try to switch my flight to costa rica for tomorrow.... adio nicaragua... (nicaraguans shorten their words, like southern drawl) yo soy triste to leave this great pais.
